Clinique High Impact Mascara and Lash Building Primer Review

You can purchase this mascara and primer at Ulta for $8.

The primer claims to provide a lush base coat so mascara goes on smoother and lasts longer and the mascara claims to make every lash have volume and look lusher, plusher and bolder. They are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. It is also Ophthalmologist tested, allergy tested and 100% fragrance free.

I found the primer made my lashes very long and the mascara was very pigmented. I found it to be buildable but it did look like spider legs. There was no smudging but there was a little flaking. It did last all day though.

Would I purchase? No

Too Faced HangoveRx Primer Review

You can purchase the full size of this primer at Sephora for $32.
This primer claims to be a replenishing face primer that hydrates, smoothes and brightens skin for a healthy looking finish. It is infused with coconut water to hydrate while keeping makeup locked down for longer wear. You can wear it alone for a dewy finish or under your makeup.
It does not have parabens, Sulfates or phthalates, and it is cruelty- free, silicone free, and vegan friendly.
I really like this primer. I found that it has a light coconut scent which was really nice. It is a lotion type primer, so you don't have to worry about the silicone feel. It left my face very glowy and hydrated all day and my makeup sat nicely on it and lasted all day.

Would I purchase? Yes

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil Review

I was SO excited to get this sample in my Ipsy bag. I love Smashbox primers and I really wanted to try this one but was to cheap to buy it for myself lol.
This primer sits on top of your complexion to smooth its texture and absorbs into the skin to hydrate and boost moisture. You should have an increased moisture to your skin after 4 weeks of using.
You can purchase it at Sephora for $42 for the full size. The sample is going to last me awhile as I have noticed that you really don't have to use very much.
It gave a really nice feel to my skin and left my skin very soft. It is not greasy or oily at all. My makeup lasted the same length of time as any other primer. In the package it smells very much like lavender but when I put it on my skin it almost has a sunscreen scent but the smell dissipates very quickly.

Would I purchase? Yes, I would. I really do like this primer!

Figs and Rouge Avancé Flawless Effects Skincare Review

I have to admit I have no idea where I got this sample from, but where ever I did, I am sure glad! I really have enjoyed this primer. It followed through with all its claims. It was mattifying, it minimized my pores, it evened out my skin tone. Plus it had a great scent. It was a little bit watery compared to other primers I have used but it is well worth it. The only place I can find that sells it, is its own website, it sells for $34.80 so it is a little pricey. This is the link to the website if you would like to check it out. Figs & Rouge

Would I purchase this? I am not sure. I really love it but I would like it to be more easily accessible to purchase.

Makeup Haul Follow Up: Face Products

This group of products are the face products I purchased that are featured in my drug store haul from Feb 15th.  This is my first impression/reviews of these 3 products.

1. Elf Tone Adjusting Primer:
I do have quiet a bit of redness in my face so I was very interested in this product and I have heard a lot about Elf primers.
The price of this primer was $6 at Target. It is described as a neutralizing green to adjust skin tone. It is suppose to be ideal for rosacea, blemishes and redness.
I have used it multiple times and I have to admit I really like it! I normally use a high end primer but I was very surprised with how well this compared to high end primers. It does have that silky silicone feel, so if you don't like that, than this primer is probably not for you. Overall, it did take the redness down to even out my skin tone, so I am very happy with this primer!

2. Essence All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder:
This powder was $3.99 at Target. What this powder claims is that it is an extremely smooth fixing compact powder for a matt and natural finish all day long. Helps to blend blush and foundation colors together and fixes make up when applied as a finishing powder. Good for all skin tones.
I don't normally use a pressed powder, I just prefer loose powder to set my makeup. This powder, however, if very nice and its not very dusty. I have used it with a sponge and a brush and liked it both ways. It is also very mattifiying so I am happy about that and look forward to trying it in the summer when I get a bit more shiny. I have actually started to use this pretty regularly and the more I use it, the more I really like it.

3. Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder:
This product also comes with a small brush to use with it. It sells for $3 at Target.
Oh, where to start with this product? I liked that it is a loose powder but thats about it. The brush that came with it is super stiff so I also tried it with a different brush. It is a very smooth powder but it did nothing for me. I will not be repurchasing this.
Have you used this? Am I applying it wrong? Let me know in the comments.

Let me know if you would like to know more about any of these products.
