Sephora Play December Unboxing

This months Sephora Play bag is not my favorite so far but the bag is really cute. I like how they switched it up to a black bag with gold lettering this month. I'm sorry I can't post this unboxing sooner in the month but I haven't been getting my bag till the end of the month. Covergirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor Review

You can purchase the full-size of this lip product for $7.99 at Target. 

There are 41 Colors and I tried out the Brazin Raisin color. 

This lipstick is designed to last 24 hours. It claims to be food proof and transfer resistant all day. It also comes with a moisturizing top coat to keep lips moist and soft. 

This lip stick far exceeded my expectations! It is very pigment with color that did last over 24 hours. I know this because I was to tired to fight with removing it and it lasted the entire next day. It is completely kiss/ transfer proof even after eating several meals, including salad. It was very creamy when applied and was not drying. It did not settle into fine lines either. The top coat is pretty shiny but if I wanted a matte look it works just fine with just the color since it didn't feel drying at all. 

Would I purchase? Yes! Great lipstick for a great price.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisture Sorbet Review

You can purchase the full size of this product for $39 at Sephora. 

This is a gel cream that works with all skin types to moisturize and calm skin. It also claims to strengthen skin to become less sensitive over time and it also calms redness and irritation. 

It is free of sulfates, parabens and phthalates. 

To use, apply to a clean face and neck both morning and night. Can be used after serum. 

This moisturizer was a really neat lightly whipped formula that felt very silky when applied. I did not notice any scent. My face was very hydrated for a full 24 hours after using it. I did however, find that I have to use it only at night because it did leave a slightly greasy residue and left my face sticky. 

Would I purchase? No

Soo AE Nature Collagen Mask Review

You can purchase this mask at Walmart for $2.50. 

This mask claims to replenish moisture, ease dryness, and improve elasticity. 

To use this mask, apply to clean skin, leave on for 15-20 minuets and massage in the remaining serum. 

I found this mask very difficult to fit on my face. One side was very large and one side very short so I am hoping it was just a badly cut mask and not all of them are like that. It also did not have any noticeable scent. I did find my face very hydrated and it really made my face plumper and healthier looking.

Tony Moly Pureness 101 Sheet Mask Review

You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $4.00. 

This mask claims to help instantly soothe skin with its 100% soft cotton face sheet that provides moisture and nutrition to damaged skin and also give a rich glow to the skin. 

To use this mask you apply the mask to clean skin and leave on 20-30 minuets and than remove. 

This mask has a nice, light perfume scent. It was a little big on my face so I ended up having to fold over the edges in places. It did adhere nicely, even for being to large. It was slightly drippy which was a pain. Overall, I found it to be really moisturizing and it took away all the redness on my face. 

Would I purchase? Maybe

MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara Review

I received this mascara as a gift with purchase but I was really excited because I have never tried anything other than Mac Lipglass up until this point. 

You can purchase this mascara at Mac for $23.00.

This mascara claims to be a whipped formula to add volume, extend length and create curl, while conditioning. It also claims to not smudge, clump, or flake. 

This mascara was really nice. The formula is perfect, not to wet or to dry and it is a great pigmentation. It made my lashes very long with awesome curl and volume with no smudging or flaking. I did have a little clumping though. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Skin Inc. Pure Revival Peel Review

You can purchase this product at Sephora for $17/.68 oz or $55/2 oz. 

This is an advanced, non- abrasive peel that visibly but gently removes dead skin cells to brighten and renew skin. 

This peel claims to prep skin to maximize absorption of nutrients from skin care products, as helps create a canvas for flawless makeup application.

It is good for all skin types, sensitive skin included. It is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and added fragrance.

How to use: apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin. Let soak in for just a few seconds, massage using circular motions to exfoliate and rinse with warm water. Use 2-3 times a week. 

This peel does have a chemical scent but when you put it on your face you don't notice the scent. As you rub it in you can feel your dead skin kind of ball up. It left my skin very smooth and soft and not dried out at all. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

This is a dry shampoo that I have really wanted to try out so I was pretty excited to get this sample size awhile back. 

You can purchase the full size of this dry shampoo for $7.99 at Ulta. 

This dry shampoo claims to be an instant fix for greasy, dull, lifeless hair. It claims to thicken and add body and texture to your hair. 

Just spray on and comb it out. 

This dry shampoo smells really nice, it is a clean fresh scent that does not smell like chemicals. You only need a few spurts of it since a little bit goes a long way. It does leave a white powder, so if you have dark hair this might not be the best dry shampoo for you. This shampoo made my hair look and feel clean and soft. It did not leave a residue or weigh my hair down. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Masqueology Collagen Lifting Cream Mask Review

I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of face masks at my local Walmart. They are $2.50 a piece.

This mask claims to help firm and tighten sagging skin, and diminish fine lines and wrinkles.

To use apply to clean face and leave on for 20 minuets and than massage in the remaining serum. 

Applying this mask I was very happy. It is very creamy and has a nice fresh scent. It is also just the right amount of cream on this mask without it being drippy. Unfortunately, I did not like the results from this mask. It left my face sticky and greasy and caused a huge breakout. I did not see any benefits to using this mask. 

Would I purchase? No

BioBelle #HappyHour Sheet Mask Review

You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $4.99. 

This is an Age- Defying sheet mask that uses Retinol and Red Wine as well as TENCEL. (please see the Dec 2 blog to learn more about Tercel) 

This mask uses a gentle serum to aid in the minimizing of the signs of aging. Retinol smooths wrinkles and helps revitalize skin and the red wine uses antioxidants to fight off free radicals that cause fine lines. It is free of GMOs, parabens, gluten and phthalate. 

To use this mask start with clean, dry skin, apply the mask, leave on for 15-20 minutes, peel off mask and rinse face, apply your favorite moisturizer. 

This mask smells so good! It smells just like grape juice. The mask adheres really great and is the perfect size. It is very saturated and is a little drippy. I did notice my fine lines were noticeably minimized. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Review

I have had so many of my friends tell me about this product, so I was really excited to get it in a Sephora Play Box so that I could try it out. 

You can purchase this at Sephora for $38 for a 1.6 oz container. 

This is a gel- cream that hydrates skin and minimizes the appearance of pores. It is a good solution for dryness, enlarged pores, dullness, and uneven texture. 

It is a mineral oil free gel- cream that claims to instantly cool and refresh skin while providing intense hydration. This cream is formulated to "burst" when applied to release a weightless moisture to skin and than absorb completely. 

It is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, petrolatum, synthetic preservatives, dyes, and fragrance. It is also dermatologist tested. 

How to use: apply over your face and neck after cleansing. You can also pat on a tiny bit over makeup to give a moisture boost. You can also apply generously as a mask and tissue off after 5 minuets. 

This moisturizer has a neat texture. Its like a silky consistency. It has a really nice scent that is really soft and subtle. I really liked this moisturizer a lot. It soaks in immediately and does not leave a greasy film so its easy to use in the morning or night. My face felt refreshed and hydrated all day long. 

Using this as a mask works amazing as well. I used it on a day when my face felt very dry and after using this my face felt amazing and so hydrated. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Wet n Wild Graphic Marker Eyeliner Review

You can purchase this eyeliner at Target for $3.99.

This is a marker eyeliner with a soft, angled tip. It claims to be a dark, opaque color and dries quickly and doesn't smudge and is long wearing. 

Oh my, where do I start with my experience with this liner. I was not able to wear this for a full day because it did make my eyes itch. But, the time I did wear it I was not happy with it at all. I found it to be very difficult to make a straight, even line. Also, It did not dry quickly and as soon as I blinked it was all over my eye. What a mess! The one good thing I found with it, was that it was very pigmented! 

Would I purchase? No

Tarte Maracuja Oil Review

You can purchase the full size of this product for $48 at Ulta. They also have this travel size for $15. 

This oil is rich in fatty acids and helps to rejuvenate and even skin tone while giving the appearance of brighter skin. It claims to provide instant hydration with no greasy or filmy feel. 

This oil is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, vegan friendly, and gluten free. It is also free of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, and sodium laurel sulfate.

This oil has a slight nutty scent that is pretty pleasant. The first thing I noticed it that a little bit goes a very long way. I also only use it three times a week because I found using it more than that, that my face felt a little greasy. This oil is very hydrating and did leave a slight greasy film but it did all soak in eventually. I just use it at night and it is soaked in by morning and my face feels very soft and hydrated the whole day. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Sephora Mud Mask Purifying and Mattifying Review

You can purchase the full size of this mask for $20.00 at Sephora. 

This mud mask uses zinc and copper to cleanse and purify the skin. It also claims to reduce the appearance of blemishes leaving skin clean, matte and soft. 

This mask was a creamy mud mask with the grit to help exfoliate. It had a lovely fresh scent. My face got very tight as it dried which is to be expected with a mud mask. Unfortunately, it also made my face REALLY dry. I did not notice any difference to my skin.

Would I purchase? No

BioBelle #Decadence Sheet Mask Review

You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $4.99. A lot of times Ulta has a sale with this brand where if you buy certain masks you can get this one for free, so keep your eyes open for sales on that as well. 

This is a hydrating and vitalizing sheet mask that uses chocolate and acai as well as TENCEL. To learn more about Tencel I wrote more about it in last fridays blog post (Dec 2).

This mask claims to use a gentle serum to help restore skins natural moisture and glow. The chocolate helps in hydrating and softening the skin and the Acai berry helps retail moisture. It is free of parabens, GMOs, gluten and phthalate. 

To use this mask, start with a clean, dry face, apply the mask, leave on for 15-20 minuets, peel off the mask, rinse face and apply your moisturizer. 

I really like this brand of mask. Like last Fridays blog this one adhered perfectly and was just the right amount of saturation. It had a fruity scent to this mask with a hint of chocolate. This mask took away any redness on my face as well as made my face extremely hydrated. 

Would I purchase? Yes!

Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara Review

                                  

I have always wanted to try Make Up For Ever products and for whatever reason I just never buy anything. I was pretty excited to give this mascara a try when I received it in a beauty subscription awhile back. 

You can purchase the full size of this mascara at Sephora for $25.00.

This mascara claims to provide volume and definition with a small brush. It also claims to be a buildable mascara while keeping lashes separated and defined. 

I found I had to apply two coats to achieve the pigment I wanted. This mascara was pretty amazing though. It made my lashes almost have a false lash effect with my lashes being extremely long and a ton of volume that lasted all day. There were no clumps at all either. 

Would I purchase? Yes

It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Product Review

You can purchase this leave- in conditioner  at Target for $16.99.

This conditioner claims to be a weightless detangler that adds silkiness and shine and is humidity resistant.  It is also a color protector, prevents split ends, and eliminate frizz. 

To use this product, shampoo and condition hair, towel dry, spray product all through hair and comb through. Style as usual. 

There was a perfume type scent to this product. It made my hair super easy to comb through, left my hair soft, shiny and frizz free. It also did not weigh down my hair. I was really impressed with this product and have no idea why it took me so long to try it out!

Would I purchase? Yes

Cetaphil Body Moisturizing Cream Review

You can purchase this moisturizing cream at Ulta for $15.49 and if your anything like me this time of year, you are always looking for something to get rid of the dry skin!

This cream claims to relieve chronically dry, sensitive skin. Its extra strength emollients and humectant bind want to your skin to prevent moisture loss. 

It is also lanolin, paraben and fragrance free. 

There was no noticeable scent to this body cream. It was very creamy and slightly greasy. It did absorb quickly though. The moisturizing lasted about 6 hours.

Would I purchase? Yes

Juara Turmeric Antioxidant Radiant Mask Review

I honestly do not remember where I picked up this mask at. I think I might have gotten it in an Ipsy bag. You can purchase the full size for $37 on Juara's Website. 

This mask claims to brighten skin, even out complexion, boost radiance and luminosity and provide antioxidant properties. 

This mask did not have any noticeable scent and was creamy with a little bit of grit to help exfoliate. I did not notice it doing anything for my skin other than make my face super dry. 

Would I purchase? No

BioBelle #AfterParty Sheet Mask Review

You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $4.99. I have heard wonderful things about this brand and can not wait to give it a try. The next two Fridays will also feature Biobelle Sheet Masks, so stay tuned for those. 

This is a Brightening sheet mask with Blueberries and Yogurt. It also uses Tencel, which is an all natural and biodegradable fiber that adheres perfectly to every facial contour. 

This mask claims to use a gentle serum to soothe and brighten to reveal younger- looking skin. The antioxidants in the blueberries helps protect skin while the yogurt is a natural moisturizer and skin brightener. It also claims to help diminish blemishes and dark spots while painting hydration. 

It is free of GMOs, parabens, gluten and phthalate. 

To use this mask, start with a clean, dry face. Apply the mask to your face, leave on for 15-20 minuets, peel off mask and rinse your face. After you pat your face dry, apply your moisturizer. 

This mask smells like blueberries and adhered to my face perfectly. It was just the right amount of saturation without being drippy. It was very refreshing leaving my soft and hydrated while taking away all redness. 

Would I purchase? Yes

Chap Stick Total Hydration Review

You can purchase this ChapStick at Target for $4.99. I believe there are different colors but this is all that was available at my Target. 

This is a 100% natural lip balm that contains rosehip and jojoba oils. It claims to instantly smooth and moisturize lips while enhancing your natural lip color. 

This chap stick has a really nice fruity scent with the perfect amount of a color tint. It was very moisturizing but it did leave a waxy feel. I did have to apply it every couple hours, the moisturizing effect did not last very long.
