Makeup Haul Follow Up: Highlighters, Blush, Bronzers

These are products that were featured in the drug store haul blog post from Feb 15th. If you would like to see what else I purchased, go take a look at that post!

1. Essence Soo Glow!:
This highlighter sells for $3.49 at Target. It is a cream to powder highlighter. I got it in the color 10 Look on the Bright Side. I absolutely LOVE the consistency and how it turns to a powder. It is a great formula! It is a beautiful color as well. I do have to use it sparingly or I feel like a disco ball, which I don't like for a daytime look. Great product!

2. Hard Candy Glow all the Way Ombre Baked Blush:
Oh my, this product is my biggest disappointment. I bought it at Walmart for $7. It looks so pretty in the package so I didn't mind the price. I got the color 933 Sunburst. It is a beautiful light pink shimmer color. It did NOT work for me as a blush. It was so light no one could even tell I had blush on. So, now it is being used as a highlighter and it works perfectly as a highlighter.

3. Elf Blush and Bronzer Duo:
I got this for $3 at Target in the color St Lucia. The bronzer is a little muddy for my skin right now but I think it will work better in the summer time. Its a really nice color though. The blush is a really nice soft pink flush color. It looks very natural. Im not sure it will work as well in the summer time though.

4. Elf Sunkissed Glow Bronzer:
This is quiet possibly my favorite product I got in my haul. I purchased it for $2 at Target. Definitely can't beat the price! It is the most perfect bronzer color for me. It is everything I look for in a bronzer.

Makeup Haul Follow Up: Face Products

This group of products are the face products I purchased that are featured in my drug store haul from Feb 15th.  This is my first impression/reviews of these 3 products.

1. Elf Tone Adjusting Primer:
I do have quiet a bit of redness in my face so I was very interested in this product and I have heard a lot about Elf primers.
The price of this primer was $6 at Target. It is described as a neutralizing green to adjust skin tone. It is suppose to be ideal for rosacea, blemishes and redness.
I have used it multiple times and I have to admit I really like it! I normally use a high end primer but I was very surprised with how well this compared to high end primers. It does have that silky silicone feel, so if you don't like that, than this primer is probably not for you. Overall, it did take the redness down to even out my skin tone, so I am very happy with this primer!

2. Essence All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder:
This powder was $3.99 at Target. What this powder claims is that it is an extremely smooth fixing compact powder for a matt and natural finish all day long. Helps to blend blush and foundation colors together and fixes make up when applied as a finishing powder. Good for all skin tones.
I don't normally use a pressed powder, I just prefer loose powder to set my makeup. This powder, however, if very nice and its not very dusty. I have used it with a sponge and a brush and liked it both ways. It is also very mattifiying so I am happy about that and look forward to trying it in the summer when I get a bit more shiny. I have actually started to use this pretty regularly and the more I use it, the more I really like it.

3. Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder:
This product also comes with a small brush to use with it. It sells for $3 at Target.
Oh, where to start with this product? I liked that it is a loose powder but thats about it. The brush that came with it is super stiff so I also tried it with a different brush. It is a very smooth powder but it did nothing for me. I will not be repurchasing this.
Have you used this? Am I applying it wrong? Let me know in the comments.

Let me know if you would like to know more about any of these products.

Nspa Coconut Body Butter Review

I received this body butter in one of the beauty boxes. I'm honestly in love with the scent of it.
You can buy this at Walmart for $5.48.
It has kind of a mix of a fresh scent and a light coconut scent so the coconut scent is not an overly sugary scent.
Its all Natural Vitamins which is great.
It leaves skin feeling silky and is not greasy.
Would I purchase again? I'm not sure! I love the scent and I am really happy it is not greasy BUT I just did not feel like it really moisturized my skin.

Makeup Haul Follow Up: Concealers

These are the two concealers I purchased during my Drug Store Haul that was posted on Feb 15th.

1. Essence Say No To Dark Circles:
This product sells for $2.99 at Target. I got it in the color 30 Bright Rośe. It is a color correcting concealer that perfectly conceals dark circles.
I only used this once. I found it very clumpy and it creased bad! It did not cover my very dark circles. I think it might work better on light circles.

2. Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer:
I have heard so many people rave about this product, so I figured I might as well pick it up. It is $6 at Walmart. It is for covering dark circles to blemishes to tattoos. I don't have a tattoo so I can't do a review on how well that covers. It did come with a pencil concealer as well. I have heard that you should only use that to help cover tattoos. The pencil ended up just getting stuck in the drawer lol. I got this in the color 977 Fair. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. It is the perfect coverage for blemishes. I did get creasing after using it for dark circles, so I don't think I would use it for that. It is a little heavy and thick and a little bit goes a LONG way! I am very happy with this to use to cover up blemishes and if I want to cover up extra redness. I can see now why so many people rave about this!

Aveeno Product Reviews

I was excited to try these. I really like Aveeno products. These did not let me down.

Lotion-
You can buy it for $7.97 at Walmart.
It claims to sooth itchy, dry skin in 1 day.
It is not heavily scented which I liked. You can still smell the coconut though.
It was a bit greasy when I put it on but 6 hours later my hands are still really moisturized. I probably would not use it during the day but to put it on at bed time will be great, as long as my dog doesn't lick it all off lol.

Body Wash-
You can purchase this at Walmart for $7.49.
I fell in love with this body wash. It is soap free, dye free, and allergy tested. It is very creamy and you can even use it as shave gel.
This left my skin so very soft and it smells amazing! The coconut scent was just the right amount.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely! I already have the body wash on my shopping list.

Makeup Haul Follow Up: Foundation

I picked up these 3 foundations when I did my Drug Store Haul on Feb 15th. You can go back to that post if you would like to see what else I purchased. I have been obsessed with foundation lately, so I am kind of proud of myself for only buying 3!

1. Essence Pure Nude Makeup:
This foundation sells for $4.99 at Target. It claims to have a natural finish with a no makeup feel and it moisturizes and has glycerine and vitamin E in it. It is also dermatologically tested. I got it in the color 10 Pure Beige. The color is a perfect match to my skin tone and it definitely has a natural finish. However, it did feel a little cakey to me and it did unfortunately make my face itch. It does have a pump which I love! It is so much more hygienic to me to have a pump. It seems like a very thin texture to me which is fine but if you like heavier foundation this isn't the one for you. It ended up being more of a light coverage foundation.

2. Catrice All Matt Plus:
I picked this up at Ulta for $8.99. I believe Ulta is still the only place in the States that you can get this brand. This foundation claims to have shine control, be mattifying, last 18 hours, and it is oil free.   It has light reflecting pigments and is hydrating. I got the color 010 Light Beige. This color is perfect for my pale winter skin but it will be to light in the summer when I have some color. I really loved how it lasted all day without a setting powder on it and it looked nice just worn alone. Of course I loved it more because it comes with a pump. It was honestly very matte. It is a very nice consistency and it ended up being a medium coverage. I really like this foundation.

3. Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation:
This was $3.97 at Walmart. It claims to make your skin 100% powerless, light weight, and be fragrance free. It also has vitamins A and E. I got it in the color 120 Ivory. It is a little to orange for me but I can make it work so it wasn't a big deal. It has a paddle applicator thing. No pump, bummer. It looked very natural and was about a medium coverage. Unfortunately, this foundation did break me out. I guess I can't complain to much as it was so inexpensive.

Please let me know in the comments if you would like any other information on any of these products.

Biossance The Nourisher Review

I just received this product in the mail. I was super excited since I loved my Revitalizer so much.
This is the new Nourisher Precious Rose Face Oil. It smells amazing! It has a very light rose scent, not a scent thats over powering or sickly sweet just amazing.
The Nourisher is a face oil designed to keep skin radiant, supple and smooth. Its ingredients boost natural collagen productions while locking in essential moisture Your skin is left smooth with a radiant glow. It is non toxic and free of synthetic fragrance, parabens, phthalates, and mineral oil and is good for all skin types.
I have been using this for a week and I am in love. It makes my skin look amazing. The only downside is the price. It is $72 on their website. www.biossance.com
I will be very sad when this runs out. Please go on sale lol!

Olay Moisturizer Reviews

I was very excited to have these to try but I was pretty disappointed.

- Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream
You can purchase this at Walmart for $19.10.
It claims to fade dark spots in 8 weeks. It also exfoliates, smoothes, and brightens skin tone.
For me it did not even last 5 min on my face. It is a really greasy cream with a very strong scent. I normally do not have very sensitive skin but this made me itch so bad! I could not tolerate it and washed it off.

- Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream
You can purchase this at Walmart for $22.74.
This product says it hydrates to lift, firm and plump. Also, it says it immediately hydrates with visible wrinkle results in one day.
As like the other Olay I tried, it has a very strong scent. It was also very greasy on my skin.
My face turned bright red and was very itchy so I had to wash this off as well.

Would I purchase these in the future? No. Not only did I have an allergic reaction to them. I don't like my moisturizer to have that strong of a scent. I also buy a high end moisturizer at sephora for around the same price. For someone that doesn't have allergies or sensitive skin this might be a perfect product for you.

Attitude 2 in 1 Review

Well, I must admit I did not use this shampoo.  I did not really care for the first one I tried and I had just gotten my hair done so I talked my boyfriend into trying it.
You can buy this Shampoo and Body Wash at Target for $7.99. I got it in a beauty box.
It is a pretty great product, just not for me. I like having seperate shampoo and body wash. It is completely free of any harmful ingredients and is hypoallergenic.
It has a light fresh scent that it good for anyone. My boyfriend liked the fact it did not smell girly. He said it made his hair really soft but his skin felt really dry after using it.
Would I repurchase this? No I really wouldn't. It is just not for me and my boyfriend said he would stick with his normal products.

CoverGirl Star Wars Lipstick Review

I am obsessed with lip products. My boyfriend and best friend would back that statement up.
I received this limited edition lipstick in a beauty box. I got the color Red number 30.
I don't normally wear reds but this was a beautiful berry color.
I had high hopes for it. It has shae butter for long lasting color. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. While the color is beautiful it had a gritty feel to it and was not long lasting at all. I tried it both with and without lip primer and it just would not stay on. It was pretty frustrating.
The price is also pretty expensive at, at least $7. For a drug store lipstick, to me that is expensive.
Would I repurchase? No, I feel that I could use my money on a better lipstick.

Attitude Volume and Shine Shampoo Review

I always like trying new drug store shampoos because I can never find one that doesn't weight down my already thin hair.
I was able to get two uses out of this sample I received in a beauty box.
I really like that this shampoo has worry free ingredients and no potential cancer causing ingredients. It retails for $7.99 at Target.
I did not notice a smell to it at all.
This shampoo made my hair feel clean but it took a lot of product for that to happen. I also felt like my ends felt really dry after using it.
Overall opinion is I would not buy a full size.

EVA NYC Speed It Up Blow Dry Spray Review

I had heard about this product on you tube. I have a medical problem and blow drying my hair tends to make my problem worse so finding something to shorten blow dry time seemed like a great idea for me to try.
I bought this at Ulta for $11.99. I normally would have not been happy with the price but I justified it by thinking if it works it's worth the price.
The blow dry spray is free of parabens, and sulfates and contains Argon Oil.
It normally takes me 15 min to get my hair dry and then I have to use my flat iron to get rid of frizz or things like that. I used this product and fell in love! It took me 3 min to completely dry my hair and it was nice and smooth and frizz free, no flat iron needed. I can not say enough good about this product!
Would I recommend this product and repurchase? Absolutely! It is by far my favorite, most useful hair product.

J by Jennifer Anniston The Fragrance Review

I got this little sample in a beauty box. I like trying new scents but always get disappointed when I can't afford the full size. I was pleasantly surprised to see how reasonably priced this fragrance is. $39 at Kohls.
I really liked it. It had a nice beachy scent with scents like water lily, magnolia petals, and Tahitian vanilla bourbon.
Would I purchase a full size? Yes, I would!
