NYC Eyeliner Review

You can purchase this eyeliner at Target for $2.82. I have the color 887 Black.
I normally only like pencil liners but I really like this liner. The brush is just the right amount of stiffness and flexible movement. It goes on really nice and gave a great winged liner. The only problem I had was it did not last very long if you do any sweating at all. It was warm the day I used it and I was outside a lot and within a couple hours I had a smudged mess.

Would I repurchase? I am not sure, thats something I would have to seriously think about because even though this isn't that expensive I wouldn't want to waste my money.

Naked Cosmetics Pigment Review

It was hard for me to do a review on this product. I am not a huge fan of loose pigments or shadows. This review was requested though so I gave it my best shot.
You can buy these pigments at Naked Cosmetics for $14.99 and there were a lot of choices!
I have the color Sierra Nevada Mica. As you can see on the swatch it was pretty light so I did end up using it over other shadow. Like every other pigment I have tried it is pretty messy to open. It was pretty on my eyelid and it was a nice amount of glitter. Throughout the day I did notice I had glitter all over my face from the fall out.
It was not something I will reach for regularly, but I think I will be using it on occasion.

Would I repurchase? Probably not

Pacifica Lipstick Review

I believe I received this lipstick in a target beauty box, but I don't remember. I really need to start keeping track of that lol.
You can buy Pacifica lipsticks at Target for $10. Not a bad price for a really nice lipstick. This is the Power of Love in the color Nudie Red. It was a really nice natural color on me and lasted quiet awhile. I really like the thin container as well.

Would I purchase again? Yes, I would like to try out some other colors. The problem is that my target is always out when I go there!

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream Review

This eye cream is designed to reduce the look of dark circles and puffiness. It helps repair and restore and has a protective skin barrier.
You can purchase this at Target for $11.99.
It is a nice creamy formula that went on very smoothly. I could see a noticeable difference with my dark circles and puffiness almost immediately.
A little bit goes a long way which is nice for me because thats just that much longer I can stretch out this sample bottle.

Would I repurchase? Yes! As soon as this little bottle runs out I will be purchasing the full size.

Make Up Forever Lipstick Review

I got this little sample in an Ipsy bag and I sure am happy about it.
This is the Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick. You can buy it for $20 at Sephora and there are 20 colors in the line. I have the color N9 Copper Pink and it is a Satin finish.
These lipsticks are meant to just leave a translucent wash of color. They also leave your lips hydrated for 8 hours after use.
I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. I have already purchased a full size so I can keep one in my purse and one in my vanity.
Not only was this super soft on my lips and very hydrating, the color is absolutely beautiful.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have!

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer Review

I received this sample in an ipsy bag. I was excited to try this brand, I hear a lot of people in the beauty community rave about this brand but I have never really tried it.
You can by the full size of this lip treatment for $16 at Nordstrom. A little bit about this product is that it naturally increases fullness of lips while decreasing fine lines. To get optimum results you are suppose to use it 3 times a day for 29 days.
I found that I only really used it at bed time. I felt like it made my lips to greasy to keep lipstick on during the day if I used it. It did make my lips feel silky smooth and using it at night kept my lips moisturized the whole next day.

Would I purchase? I doubt it. I have to many products like this.

L'oréal Boost It Review

I was so excited to get this in a Target Beauty Box awhile back. I have been really obsessed with texture sprays lately so this seemed like a great product to try and it was full size.
You can buy this at Target for $3.99. This product claims to be a light weight mist formula with strong hold without weighting hair down. It has instant root tease and buildable body. It also has Fiber Lock Technology which is a workable holding matrix that locks style strand by strand.
I am really pleased with this spray. I use it on towel dried hair and than I style my hair as usual. I found it had a nice lift and great texture. It did not leave my hair sticky or crunchy. It did not have a strong scent either.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely! I love this product!

Sephora Rose Mask Review

I have been obsessed with rose scent lately so when I saw this in Sephora I had to try it.
You can purchase this sheet mask for $6 at Sephora. They have a bunch of other kinds as well.
This one says it is Ultra Moisturizing and Brightening.
It had the best rose scent. If I could have worn the scent all day, believe me, I would have. It made my skin feel so great! It left my face moisturized for the whole day.
I didn't really notice my skin being brighter but for the scent and moisture, I was happy.

Would I repurchase? Yes! Every time I go in Sephora I am picking one up!

Soapbox Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Oh my, where to start... I so wanted to love this product because of all the good qualities...
I received this in a Target Beauty Box. You can purchase it at Target for $5.99 a piece.
Lets start with what each product claims.
The Shampoo has Vitamin E & K and coconut oil to cleanse, moisturize and thicken hair.
The Conditioner has Vitamin E & K and coconut oil to thicken hair and moisturize.
Every full size bottled purchased provides a month of clean water through Splash. They have a code on the bottle that you can look up to see where the water is going.
They are color safe, sulfate free, paraben free, and contain shea butter.
The coconut scent is amazing!
See, so many great things!
However, this shampoo and conditioner left my hair a greasy mess! It was so bad that my boyfriend even noticed. He never notices much about my hair lol. His exact quote was "I know you washed your hair this morning but it looks awful"
So disappointed.

Would I purchase? Unfortunately, no.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara Review

I love getting mascara samples. I always feel like I end up wasting some of a full size mascara  with it drying out and such. This mascara is one of my favorites.
This is the Tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes 4 in 1 mascara. It is lengthening, curling, volumizing and conditioning mascara. You can purchase it for $21 at Sephora.
I tend to reach for this on days I want a really natural look. It gives great volume and length and it is not thick and goopy like some mascara. Its a really nice formula. Not to wet and not to dry.

Would I purchase? Yes, absolutely.

Dr Brandt Pores No More Anti-aging Mattifying Lotion Review

I think I got this sample in an Ipsy bag. I don't really remember. I do know I really like it!
Let me tell you a bit more about this face lotion. It is infused with apple stem cells to help delay signs of aging. It also controls excess oil and is mattifying.
It is also free of parabens, sulfates, and, phthalates.
What I loved about this product is it gave my skin a very soft feeling and it was very mattifying.
What I did not like was the fact it smells so strongly like sunscreen. I also could not get past the price.
You can buy this for $61 at Sephora.

Would I purchase a full size? I doubt it. Its a bit to expensive for me.

Phyto Exceptional Mask Review

I have no idea where I picked up this sample.
You can purchase the full size product for $45 at Sephora.
I don't get dry hair from coloring it or anything but my hair does get dried out from the hot tub so I was excited to try this sample. It is designed for Ultra-damaged, brittle and dry hair so I wasn't very sure how well it would work on my hair.
It had a really nice scent, it almost smelled like cocoa butter. It is a very thick formula but in the shower it seemed really nice. I left if on for the 5 min it said to while I went about doing everything else in the shower. When I got out my hair was really easy to comb through but after drying and styling my hair is still a frizzy, fluffy mess! My hair is not any softer than before I used it either.

Would I purchase? No I would not.

Mayfair Soap Foundry Body Crème Review

I received this in a Target Beauty Box awhile back. I am super picky on any lotion I use. So, I wasn't overly excited about this one.
You can purchase this at Target for $8.99. This body creme has shea butter, safflower oil, and sunflower oil to nourish skin. It is deeply hydrating, paraben and phthalate free and is not tested on animals.
I got the scent Sea Lily Jasmine, I think there are other scents but I did only find this one at my local target.
The scent is amazing! It is a beautiful fresh scent mixed with a flowery scent. It was very moisturizing as well. The only thing I did not like was how greasy it is. I am not a fan of greasy lotions.

Would I purchase again? Probably not. It smells awesome but its to greasy for me.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Lipstick Review

I have no idea where I picked up this lipstick at. I sure am glad I got it though!
A little bit about the Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick by The Balm. It is $17 at Kohls. It is long wearing with a matte finish, vanilla mint flavor, highly pigmented color, has a doe foot applicator and is paraben free.
I had the color Committed which is a beautiful pink nude color. There are 8 colors available at Kohls.
I found it to be very long lasting. The smell is so yummy! It tastes good too ;-)

Would I purchase a full size? Yes, I can't wait to get more colors!

Seraphine Botanicals Carrot + Rose Hydrating Cream Review

I got this lotion in my Ipsy bag last month and I've said in the past how picky I am with lotions. So, I wasn't to excited about this but I gave it a shot anyway.
You can purchase the full size product on Seraphine for $19.00. This is a hydrating cream that is lightweight and formulated with glycerine. It can be used on your face or body to lock in moisture for the whole day. It is paraben free, vegan, gmo-free, gluten free and not tested on animals. Even the ink on the tube is soy ink.
I found that a little goes a long way. It was a little greasy but not terrible. It left a really nice moisturizing feeling and has a really nice scent that is kind of fruity.

Would I purchase? Probably not. I get a lot of lotion samples so I really have no need to purchase lotion any time in the near future lol.

Skinfix Lip Repair Balm Review

I know, I know, you are all groaning over the fact I am reviewing another lip product. I can't help it! They are my favorite!
I really like the SkinFix line so I was happy to receive this in a target beauty box awhile ago. My lips got very dried out at the end of winter so this was very exciting to try.
You can purchase this at Target for $4.99. This balm claims to be light weight, deeply hydrating, immediate relief for dry, chapped lips and dermatologist recommended.
This balm was awesome! It lasted all day and was super moisturizing. I used it first thing in the morning before I did my makeup and then I also used it at bedtime. I can not get enough of it! By the time you are reading this I will have already purchased a second tube. Also, it does not have a flavor or anything to it.
It did have a slightly waxy feel to it but it didn't really bother me or make a difference in wear to me.
The only thing I could complain about was the fact it is pretty thick and it was difficult to squeeze out of the tube. I warmed it up in my hands for a couple seconds before using it and it would squeeze out easier so it was an easy fix.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have. Well worth the cost! This is quickly becoming a daily staple in my beauty routine.

Spring Walmart Beauty Box

Ok, to start with can I say the box this month is so cute! I love it!
I just received my beauty box today, so I wanted to let you all know what was in it!
1. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo- I honestly will not be using this as I am blonde.
2. Loreal Coupon for $1
3. Colgate Optic White Tooth paste- express white. We currently use the lasting white so I am excited to try this.
4. Cere Ve Healing Ointment- I have been having really dry skin lately so I'm happy I get to try this out.
5. Burts Bees BB Cream- they also included a $3 coupon with this sample
6. Curel Itch Defense Body Wash- this should be nice to try during allergy season.
7. Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser
8. Jergens Natural Glow Lotion- every year I try this and every year I get tired of how greasy it is. Maybe this will be the year I stick with it.

Keep your eyes open for upcoming blog reviews on several of the products listed. Which product are you looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments.

Sephora Lip Products

For my birthday awhile back I got a bunch of Sephora lip products. My best friend knows how much I love lip products that last a long time and she really wanted me to try these.
I got 3 different kinds. I will post pictures of the swatches of each color.
The first on I tried out was the Sephora Oil Infusion in the color 09 Iced Coffee.

It is a beautiful color and makes my lips super soft. It doesn't last very long though. Its still worth it though. I plan on buying a couple other colors. These are $14 at Sephora and there are 9 colors available.

The second type I tried were the Cream Lip Stains.

I got the colors (top to bottom) 06 Pink Souffle, 12 African Violet, 13 Marvelous Mauve. I am in love with these stains! All beautiful colors and last a long time without drying out my lips. They are $14 at Sephora and there are 14 colors and I plan on buying quiet a few more colors!

The last ones I tried I already had one of and I love it. It is one of my favorite lipsticks for fall and winter. These are the Rouge Infusion.

I like these so much that I have doubles on 3 of the colors! I have the colors (from top to bottom) 03 Pink Essence, 05 Fuchsia Concentrate (My favorite), 08 Tangerine Ink, 10 Red Essence, 19 The Neutrals Peony. They are on sale at Sephora for $7 as I believe they are going to be discontinued :( good thing I have 2 of the fuchsia concentrate! I do have to admit that I think the cream lip stains last a little bit longer than these do, so thats a bonus!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Sephora lip collection. Do you have a favorite Sephora Lip Product? Let me know so I can try it!

disclaimer* I either purchased these or received them as gifts, all opinions are my own.

Nyc Liquid Lip Shine Review

The first lip product of the month is always so exciting for me to write lol. I can't help it, I just love lippies!
You can buy NYC Liquid Lipshines at Target for $1.89. Great price! I got the color 582 Nude York City. It is a beautiful peachy nude color.
It smells nice and has a doe foot applicator.
The only problem I had was that it was REALLY sticky. So if you don't mind sticky lips this is a great product.
This color is no longer sold online but there are 3 other colors that are really pretty.

Would I repurchase? Most likely no. I don't really care for sticky formulas.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil Review

I was SO excited to get this sample in my Ipsy bag. I love Smashbox primers and I really wanted to try this one but was to cheap to buy it for myself lol.
This primer sits on top of your complexion to smooth its texture and absorbs into the skin to hydrate and boost moisture. You should have an increased moisture to your skin after 4 weeks of using.
You can purchase it at Sephora for $42 for the full size. The sample is going to last me awhile as I have noticed that you really don't have to use very much.
It gave a really nice feel to my skin and left my skin very soft. It is not greasy or oily at all. My makeup lasted the same length of time as any other primer. In the package it smells very much like lavender but when I put it on my skin it almost has a sunscreen scent but the smell dissipates very quickly.

Would I purchase? Yes, I would. I really do like this primer!
