BareMinerals BareSkin Sheer Sun Review

You can purchase the full size of this serum bronzer at Sephora for $28.00. I received this in my June Sephora Play box and I was very excited to try this. The concept of a serum bronzer really interested me.
This is a bendable, lightweight liquid bronzer that can be used in a variety of ways. You can add a couple of drops to your foundation to match your tan, layer the bronzer over your moisturizer for a sun kissed look, blend the bronzer on your cheekbones, jaw line, sides of your nose to contour and add definition, and add it to your favorite body lotion to give your arms and legs a little glow and color!
I fell in love with this bronzer. I have tried it every way that it suggested and my favorite way to use it is just as a bronzer. Regardless of how you use it, it stays put all day. I found it very easy to blend, it is also a great color with my super pale skin. If you use it to bronze/contour it is also very easy to get a nice chiseled line.

Would I purchase? Yes! I will definitely be purchasing when this sample runs out.

Welch's 100% Grape Juice

I recently got to try out Welch's Grape Juice with Buzz Agent for free. I was so excited! This has been my favorite grape juice since I was a child and will continue to purchase this in the future.

S.W. Basics Exfoliant Review

You can purchase the full size of this product at Target for $24.49. I received this tiny sample in my June Target Beauty Box.
This exfoliant is designed with no synthetic chemicals, plastic microbeads, alcohol, or fragrance. It is USDA certified organic with only 3 ingredients. It claims to be simple, nourishing and highly effective leaving your skin soft and glowing.
You can blend it with water, oil, honey, or yogurt to make a facial scrub or you can just leave it on your face as a mask.
I chose to use this face scrub with water, mostly because I did not have any honey or yogurt to mix in it. I found the only real scent to it is the oat scent. It was very exfoliating and my face felt very clean and smooth after using it but my skin also felt dry after it.

Would I purchase? Probably not, I am not a huge fan of these powder exfoliants.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar Review

You can purchase this bar at Walmart for $4.99. This cleansing bar removes dirt, oil and makeup with out disrupting the skins natural protective barrier. It also contains a moisturizing cream to hydrate and nourish your skin. It is for normal to dry skin and claims to lock in moisture 3x better than other cleansing bars. It is developed by dermatologists and is non-comedogenic, non-drying and non- irritating.
This cleansing bar left my face feeling clean and hydrated with just a typical soap scent.

Would I purchase? Yes

Tony Moly Skin Purifying Mask Review

This Mask Monday is the final Tony Moly sheet mask I recently picked up. I really like this brand and am looking forward to trying out more of these masks in the future.
You can purchase this mask for $3.75 at Ulta.
This Skin Purifying Seaweeds Sheet Mask is filled with a micro emulsion based essence that cleanses your skin with natural oils and waters. It is also formulated with avocado extract.
This mask claims the mask makes your skin look bright and radiant with the freshness of the sea.
To use, apply to clean skin and leave on 20-30 minuets.
Just like the previous two Tony Moly sheet masks I have used, this one was extremely wet and dripped all over. It did have a very nice light scent to it. My skin felt very moisturized and I did notice my skin looked brighter.

Would I purchase? No. Even though it did work a little I am not a fan of masks that drip everywhere.

Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial Review

I received this in my May Sephora Play Box. You can purchase the full size at Sephora between $19-$48 depending on the size you purchase.
This is an overnight facial in a jar. It addresses uneven skin tone while improving skin texture for a brighter, more luminous complexion in as little as one night. It is good for all skin types. This facial also claims to be the solution to dullness and uneven texture, uneven skin tone, and loss of firmness and elasticity. The wild rose oil is rich in vitamin C for helping even skin tone and visibly improve fine lines. It is free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
I really enjoyed using this facial. It smells amazing, like fresh roses. I found it was very creamy and just melted into my skin. My skin felt very moisturized and soft and I did notice a difference with my skin being brighter and I did notice a slight change in fine lines.

Would I purchase? Yes! Absolutely!

You Are Amazing Smooth It Out Body Scrub Review

You can purchase this body scrub at Target for $3.99.
I had received a hand lotion by this brand in a Target Beauty Box awhile back and really liked the lotion so the last time I was at Target I picked up this Body Scrub. I got it in the scent Vanilla Bean but there were several different scents available.
I really like how with any purchase of the You Are Amazing brand helps with leadership development to empower girls to change the world.
This product it paraben and phthalate free and not tested on animals and made in the USA.
The scent of this body scrub is just the right amount of vanilla. It smells really good! This is probably currently my favorite body scrub. I found that it worked really good as an exfoliant and as a body wash. The only thing I could say was if you like a more abrasive exfoliate this probably isn't for you as it is a more soft exfoliate.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I absolutely will be repurchasing as soon as I run out!

Smashbox X Rated Mascara Review

I recently received this sample in an Ipsy Bag. You can purchase a full size of this mascara at Ulta for $22.
This mascara claims to be Smashbox's most buildable mascara. It also claims to be long wearing and be flake and smudge free. It is also free of papabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, fragrance and talc.
It has tripod fibers that stack on lashes for endless volume.
I think I found my new favorite mascara with this one! I loved the brush and the formula. The formula wasn't to wet or to dry, it was somewhere right in the middle. There was no noticeable scent like some mascaras have either. It gave my lashes great length and volume and lasted all day. I did not have any flaking or smudges until right before bed time and that was about 12 hours after putting this mascara on.

Would I purchase? Yes!

I was pretty excited to be receiving this highlighter in my Ipsy Bag. I have tried a couple of Trust Fund nail polishes and really like this brand and have been wanting to try more products.
You can purchase this at Trust Fund for $20.
This highlighter claims to go on smoothly and last all day. It is vegan, free of toxic chemicals, and not tested on animals.
This highlighter is a nice cream formula that glides on smoothly and blends easily with the perfect amount of shimmer and highlight. It stayed put all day!

Would I purchase? Yes I would. I have nothing negative to say about this highlighter.

Summer 2016 Walmart Beauty Box Unboxing

I have to admit I am not very thrilled with this box. I have already received multiple products throughout this year that I received in this box.
What I received:
Sally Hanson Airbrush Legs Leg Makeup
Jergens Natural Glow Lotion
Coconut Nail Art
Aveeno Shower Gel
Goody Elastics
Arm and Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste
Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Shampoo and Conditioner

What did you think about this box?

Ren Clean Skincare Review

I received this Day Cream in an Ipsy Bag awhile ago and am just getting around to try it out.
You can purchase the full size of this at Sephora for $45, so it is quiet expensive.
This Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream is an anti aging moisturizer that is optimal for sensitive skin as it trains your skin to be less sensitive. This cream claims to hydrate and replenish skin so skin feels calmed and smooth
I learned when I used this day cream that a little bit goes a very long way. I found it did not have any noticeable scent and it was very soothing on my face. The only thing I really did not like was that it was really greasy and my makeup was really slipping around on it.

Would I purchase? No, I have other day creams that I like better that keeps my makeup in place.

Tony Moly Clear Skin Mask Review

This Mask Monday is the second of the 3 Tony Moly sheet masks I recently picked up.
You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $3.75.
This mask is infused with natural oils to provided elasticity and brightening effects. It is formulated with avocado extract.
This rice mask claims to make dull skin look radiant and glowing.
To use, you apply to clean skin and leave on 20-30 minuets.
This mask like last weeks mask Monday post was very, very wet! It did not have any scent. To be honest I did not see any benefit to my skin after using this mask.

Would I purchase? No, I don't see the point to purchase another mask when this one did not do anything for me.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review

I received this lipstick in my May Sephora Play box. I have heard a ton about this lipstick on social media so I am really excited to try it out. I got the color Kimchi. You can purchase a full size lipstick at Sephora for $26. There are 40 colors I believe.
This lipstick is a high- pigment lipstick that delivers intense hydration using 12 edible oils. Bite Beauty uses all food grade ingredients that are anti-oxidant rich and made in small batches. It is also free of sulfates, parabens and phthalates.
This lipstick was the perfect pink for spring and summer time. I found that while it wasn't completely kiss proof it did not have much transfer. It lasted for about 4 hours and that was after eating and drinking as well. I really like that it wore off my lips somewhat like a stain. Overall, I really like this lipstick!

Would I purchase? Yes! I can't wait to get a couple more shades!

Cover Girl Lipstick Review

I received this lipstick in a Target Beauty Box.
You can purchase this for $5.99 at Target. I got the color 405 Temptress Rose. There are 36 colors in the line I believe. There are 4 color families for these lipsticks. They are smooth nudes, rich reds, yummy plums and luscious pinks.
This lipstick is infused with Shea Butter.
I really like the pink packaging! So Cute!!
This lipstick is a really pretty bright pink that looks great for summer. It was very pigmented and smooth on the lips. It was definitely not kiss proof and there was a lot of transfer. I found I was reapplying every single time I got a drink or ate anything.

Would I purchase? No. There are other lipsticks I like better.

Pantene Air Spray Hair Spray Review

I recently received this in a beauty box.
You can purchase this for $4.97 at Walmart.
This hairspray is ultra light weight that leaves hair feeling moisturized and silk soft. It is also Alcohol free.
The sample I received is a level 2 hairspray which the canister says is brushable, flexible hold.
I really liked this hairspray. It held my style for quiet awhile while leaving my hair soft and not crunchy or sticky. It also has a really nice fruity scent.

Would I purchase? Yes I would

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes Review

I have used these face wipes in the past so I was excited to receive these in a recent Target Beauty Box.
You can purchase these at Target for $3.59.
These wipes are designed to refresh and nourish skin and they also even remove waterproof mascara. There is no harsh chemicals or artificial perfume or dye, or parabens. They are also dermatologist tested. The face wipes also contain skin-loving ingredients with multi- vitamins.
These wipes had a really nice fresh smell and it left my face feeling very clean and refreshed. It did take two wipes to get off all of my makeup and it did not removed waterproof eye makeup.

Would I purchase? I would purchase a full size if I don't have a coupon for something else.

Marlowe Body Butter Review

I recently received this Marlowe Body Butter in a Target Beauty Box.
You can purchase a full size of this Body Butter at Target for $9.99.
This is an ultra rich butter with long lasting hydration. It has a unique formulation of revitalizing extracts designed to nourish, smooth and revitalize skin. It contains Passionflower fruit, green tea, willow bark and deep sea algae extracts.
This body butter is Paraben and Phthalate free, not tested on animals and made in the United States.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I like this body butter. It has a thicker formula like most body butters and it has a light fresh scent that is perfect for summer. It was greasy at first but quickly soaked into the skin and right away was very moisturizing. I put it on before bed and my skin felt moisturized for the whole next day.

Would I purchase? Yes I would

Tony Moly Elasticity Mask Review

For this Mask Monday I am going to talk about the first of 3 Tony Moly sheet masks I have gotten lately.
You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $3.75.
This mask is formulated with pomegranate extract and enriched water based essence hydration. It firms up skin and promotes elasticity.
You apply it to clean skin and leave it on for 20-30 minuets.
My opinion on this mask is torn. It was very cool and refreshing on my face and my face did feel firmer after I used it but it was a very, very wet mask that was literally dripping down my neck and onto my shirt. It left a sticky film on my face when I took it off and my face was still sticky the next morning.

Would I purchase? I'm not sure. I like that it did make my face more firm but I did not care for the sticky feeling.

La Roche- Posay Anthelios 60 Review

I received this sample awhile back in my amazon luxury beauty box and was very excited to try it, but of course the weather hasn't really been cooperating to really put it to a test.  You can purchase the full size of this sunscreen at Target for $26.
The La Roche-Posay Anthelion 60 is an ultra light sunscreen fluid for your face. It claims to be fast absorbing, matte finish and good for normal to combination skin.
It uses Cell-Ox Shield and is a mineral sunscreen. It is also water resistance for 80 minuets.
It is fragrance free, paraben free and tested on sensitive skin.
To use you need to shake well and apply generously 15 minuets before sun exposure. I went on very easily and was very smooth on my face. I found it did not have a scent and it was not greasy, both of which I was happy about. I did not notice a matte finish with it but that was not something I was very concerned about. I did not get sunburned and did not break out from this sunscreen.

Would I purchase? Yes I would

L'Oréal Lumi Cushion Foundation Review

I have heard so many people talking about the cushion foundations and I finally found one that matched my skin tone so I thought I would give it a try.
You can purchase this at Target for $14.99. I got it in the color W2 and there are 12 colors total in the line.
This foundation claims to be a buildable Luminous foundation.
I really liked how easy it was to apply and how easy it was to build. Plus it was pretty fun to use :)
I did have a really nice luminous finish. It was really a light coverage but even with building it I couldn't get very good coverage.

Would I repurchase? Probably not for the amount of money it is. There are other foundations I like better.

disclaimer* I purchased with my own money. All opinions are my own

Maybelline Colorblur Review

I just recently picked up this Maybelline Color Blur lip pencil because I thought it looked interesting.
You can purchase these at Target for $7.99. These come in 10 colors and I picked up the color 50 I like to Mauve it. Its a very nice natural color.
The way these pencils are designed is you put the color on the inside of your lips and then use the blender on the opposite side of the pencil to blur out the lipstick making it more of an ombre effect.
It is a really neat complex but I have to admit, other than the color this lipstick was not my favorite.
I felt like it dried my lips out and the color just did not last very long and I was constantly reapplying. It is a very matte formula which is nice!

Would I repurchase? I doubt it, I have other lip products I like better.

disclaimer* I paid for this with my own money, all opinions are my own

Marc Jacobs Eyeliner Review

I received this Marc Jacobs Highlander Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner for my birthday gift from sephora. You can purchase the full size at sephora for $25 and it comes in 25 colors. I got the color Blacquer 42.
This liner is the luxury of gel in a pencil. It is also waterproof.
I was very impressed with this liner! It is retractable so you don't have to worry about sharpening it, which is really nice. It went on very smoothly, just like gel and not a pencil. It also lasted all day! It did not budge till I used makeup remover to get it off.

Would I purchase? Yes I would

Again, I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Montagne Jennesse Face Mask Review

Welcome back to Mask Monday. I decided to try something other than a sheet mask today.
You can purchase this mask at Ulta for $1.99
This mask combines cocoa and shea  butter with peppermint oil and crushed cocoa beans to provide and intensely moisturized, tingly fresh clean.
You need to wash your face, massage the mask into you clean skin and wait 10-15 minuets and then rinse off.
This mask smells amazing! It smells just like mint chocolate chip ice cream, it was even green on your face. I found it to be very refreshing and it had a nice consistency to it.  It was tingly as it dried but nothing to major, I thought it felt pretty good actually.
The only thing I could say negatively was that it was suppose to be a moisturizing mask but all it did for me was make my skin very dry when I washed it off.

Would I purchase? No, I don't think it really did anything for my skin

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil Review

I was recently in Ulta after purchasing a liquid lipstick that I could just not remove and saw this product and figured I would give it a try.
You can purchase this Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil at Ulta for $8.99.
This product claims to completely remove all makeup including waterproof and all dirt and oil from your skin with out a greasy residue.
I was really pleased with this cleanser. It removed everything including waterproof mascara and that stubborn liquid lipstick. It also left my skin feeling super soft.
It will not clog pores and it is dermatologist tested.

Would I purchase again? Yes I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick Review

I received this lipstick in a beauty subscription and we all know how much I love my lip products. I do not normally where a red lip, I tend to go with more neutral lip colors but I have heard so much about these that I was willing to try the red.
You can purchase these at Ulta for $6.99. I got the color Kitten Heels but there are 12 colors to choose from.
It claims to have a matte finish and leave your lips velvety soft. It is also suppose to be waterproof and long lasting. I am all for long lasting lipsticks!
To be honest I was not very impressed with this lipstick. I had it on all evening one day when I did not have anywhere to be (this color did not look good on me). I found it had a lot of transfer, definitely not kiss proof. Also, on the insides of my lips the lipstick kept balling up, so that was pretty frustrating. It never did dry matte either.
The scent is basically a paint scent, nothing to exciting.
The nice things about this lipstick is that the pigmentation and formula are both wonderful! I was really impressed with the pigmentation especially.

Would I purchase? Maybe, I might get a different shade just to see if I like it on me any better.

Nourish Organic Body Oil Mist Review

I received this sample in a beauty subscription awhile back. I was a little leary of using it since it is a body oil. I did not want to break out from it.
You can purchase a full size spray bottle at Nourish Organic for $19.99.
This body oil claims to deeply hydrate, replenishes, improves skin texture and evens tone. It also soothes sun damage or irritated skin.
It is loaded with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins. The Rose Hip Oil soothes and softens skin and the Rosewater purifies and restores.
After using this my skin was very soft for a full 24 hours. It had a very, very light scent that smelled like fruit. It was greasy when I first applied it but it melted into my skin within 15 min leaving my skin very soft and moisturized.

Would I purchase? Yes, I plan on purchasing after I run out of the sample. I really liked this body oil.

disclaimer* I received this in a beauty box, all opinions are my own

Cover Girl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Review

My best friend and I were recently shopping and of course had to buy some new makeup. I had heard a lot of people rave about this foundation and figured since it was not to expensive to give it a try.
You can purchase this foundation for $6.69 at Target.
This is an oil free foundation that lasts all day. It evens skin tone and reduces shine all day. It also won't clog pores and is ok for sensitive skin.
I got the color 110. I found it blends really easily with fingers, brush or beauty blender. It lasted all day without settling in to fine lines. It was a light to medium coverage on me depending on what I used to apply it, but it was also buildable. I really liked the finish of this foundation. It just set so nicely that I did not even need powder over top of it.

Would I repurchase? Yes! This quickly became my favorite foundation!

disclaimer* this was purchased with my own money, all opinions are my own
